Our educators and school leaders will be avaialble, Monday through Friday 7:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Parents and students can reach our teachers via email. Here is the NLS Staff Directory We encourage families to communicate directly with our teachers to arrange an agreed upon time to discuss the academic needs of our your child(ren). Some of our staff will be utilizing digital communication tools using video. If staff and students are using such a tool, it is important that they are in a public place in your home (ie. kitchen, living room, dining room, or family room). Students must not use these tools in a bedroom or bathroom. Communication will be provided to NLS families through our Infinite Campus Messenger (AKA. Parent Portal), e-newsletters, social media and our website. Parents are expected to update their contact preferences in Parent Portal to ensure multiple modes of communication are selected (ie. email, text, voice) which will assist us in keeping you informed. Here are the instructions on how to update contact preferences in Parent Portal. If you have questions, please contact the District Office at 320.354.2252 Press 0.
SeeSaw, ZOOM and Schoology
During Hybrid Learning and Distance Learning students may use a combination of SeeSaw, Schoology, and ZOOM to access curriculum, have instructional time, and collaborate with classmates. All questions, comments and concerns regarding classroom material should be directed to your child(ren)'s teacher. Please make sure that your child's device has access to Seesaw through the free Seesaw Class app. The class app will give them access to their learning activities and creative tools to complete work. Here are two helpful videos about SeeSaw: Seesaw Family App Parent video and the Seesaw Class App Student Video Please note: If a student(s) is in distance learning, they will log in at home using a Home Learning Code from their teacher. The use of ZOOM will be a critical component of instructional practices that promote student engagement through synchronous (live instruction) learning for K-12 students.
