Hi! My name is Amy Shimek and I have been a special education teacher for New London- Spicer High School for 7 years working with 9th - 12th graders. I help my students with organizational skills, social skills, functional math skills, and completing general education homework. I accomplish this by working one-on-one and in small group setting. I continously differentiate instruction so that each student can complete the classwork at his or her instructional level. I work collaboratively with the mainstream teachers, school social workers, and counselors to provide a specialized environment to help my students achieve their goals.
