• Strong today. Strong Tomorrow

October 30 Update - Get important information about mail-in ballots and make sure your vote is counted

This website is dedicated to providing residents of the New London-Spicer School District with factual information about the 2020 Operating Levy Referendum.

Our theme is Strong Today. Strong Tomorrow. Throughout our process, including a community survey, community task force and community meetings, we heard you talking about what a great school district we have, but that isn’t enough. We want to continuously improve.

Superintendent Bill Adams has said, “We’re 20 years into the 21st century, and we’re still talking about creating an education system for the 21st century.” We propose to reallocate funds to priorities outlined in the district’s five-pronged approach.

Together, we’ve come to the conclusion that our current revenue stream falls short of being able to deliver on our plans for improvement. In fact, if we don’t pass an operating levy referendum, like so many districts around us have, we will need to make significant budget reductions.

Please review this website and vote on or before Nov. 3. If you have any questions, please contact Superintendent Bill Adams at adamsw@nls.k12.mn.us or 320.354.2252.
