It is our hope that we can continue to enhance the experience of every student in our district by encouraging excellence through many pathways. With this in mind, we want you to know how important your financial support is to the New London-Spicer Educational Foundation. Your contribution will support the future of the Educational Foundation, its programs and initiatives. It is a common misconception that a contribution is only helpful if it is large. Any donation received is greatly appreciated and accepted with respect, appreciation, and excitement! Every Donation Matters!
Seat Dedications & Donor Recognition Wall
On bi-annual basis, the Foundation awards approximately $10,000 in grants to our PreK-Grade 12 classrooms. In recent years, the board has observed a substantial increase in the dollar amounts needed for “venture capital” with a decrease in district funding. In response to this need, the board set a goal to grow the Educational Foundation Endowment to $890,000. The growth of this fund will allow the endowment’s earned interest to be used creating a substantial increase in the monetary grants and scholarships awarded to our schools. This Endowment Fund will also allow the New London-Spicer Educational Foundation’s grant program to become financially self-sustaining while continually giving back to the school for many years to come!
In recognition of our Endowment donors, a donor wall has been constructed in the NLS Performing Arts Center lobby. It displays five donor tiers: $1,000+, $5,000+, $15,000+, $25,000+, and $50,000+ and is open to both business and individual donors. After the wall is fully occupied, the Foundation will have met its goal and can begin to utilize the interest in giving more in bi-annual classroom grants. The Foundation has also made available a pledging option which allows donors to spread their desired donation amount over a period of time (up to 5 years).
We also have seat dedications available. Families, individuals, and businesses have the opportunity to dedicate a seat(s) in the New London-Spicer's 650 seat Performing Arts Center. Each dedication is $250.00 and includes a 1”x3” name plaque with two lines of text of up to 15 characters per line. The dedications are mounted to the back side of the chairback and will remain permanent fixtures in the Performing Arts Center. These dedications are a great way to memorialize a loved one, congratulate a recent graduate, or a great way to show your Wildcat Pride!
