SiteLogiQ Ventilation Project Phase One
Construction Update (July 16, 2025)
As we reach the halfway point of summer break, I’m pleased to share that our construction projects across the New London-Spicer School District are progressing smoothly and remain on schedule. Crews have been working hard, and we’re seeing exciting developments that will enhance our learning environments and better serve our students, staff, and families.
Buildings & Grounds Director Ryan Tillemans reported, “To date, our high school/middle school building has 90% of its metal grid installed and Prairie Woods Elementary also has 90% of its metal grid installed and awaits a crane to set the rooftop. Prairie Meadows Early Childhood Learning Center has the majority of its boilers connected and most of its duct work is completed.”
Thank you for your continued support and patience as we work to improve our facilities—things are moving forward just as planned, and even though the entire scope of the project won’t be completed until next summer we’re looking forward to welcoming everyone back to many updates and improvements this fall. As planned, our completion date for this summer’s project is still set for mid-August. We understand this will be a tighter turnaround for preparing our buildings for back-to-school than we are used to but we are ready and willing to make it a success.
I want to give a big shout out to our buildings and grounds staff as well as the extra summer help that got us on track with their cleaning and moving skills. Many thanks to our technology crew who have been going above and beyond as well to store our SMARTboards, and take down access points in the ceilings as construction crews move down the hallways and into classrooms. I am also grateful for the work our teachers put into packing their classrooms while managing the commotion of wrapping up another school year.
As back-to-school approaches we will continue to share construction updates on our website. For more detailed updates on our HVAC, roofing and piping improvement project please visit: www.nls.k12.mn.us/HVACproject
Sincerely,
Mr. Jamie Boelter, NLS Superintendent
