Purpose: To honor and remember our Minnesota Military Service members and emergency responders who died at the hands of hostile forces, were killed due to a direct hostile attack, or first responders who died during the line of duty. They paid the ultimate sacrifice to defend and protecting this great country of ours. Ryane Clark Heroes Project created the Minnesota Fallen Heroes Football Game (MNFHFG) by Gold Star Parents Rick & Tracy Clark and Gold Star sister Aleah Clark Ague to honor their son and brother, Ryane G. Clark, 2007 graduate of New London/Spicer High School and a United States Army soldier. Killed in Action (KIA) 2010 during Operation Enduring Freedom. Their vision was to create an event to honor military and emergency responder men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice, as well as, provide an opportunity for their families to share their stories. The program consists of two high school teams that select ten (10) players who volunteer to give up their names for an evening to play in honor of a local fallen hero. This event is not just a football game but an honor that these young players will carry with them for the rest of their lives. In many cases, the players and Gold Star families form a bond that remains forever.
The Ryane Clark Heroes Project is working with the NLS Educational Foundation (501c3) on this big event. Money raised from this event will go to the NLS Alumni Fund to help support NLS students with scholarships, (scholarship applications do apply)
