Big news for Band at NLS!

This year, 5th grade students will have the option to begin band lessons! Students in a 5th grade band will receive one group lesson each week during their WIN time throughout the year on their chosen instrument. They will learn the basics of instrument assembly, playing technique, and music literacy to prepare for 6th grade band and beyond!

Here's how the 5th grade students can join the NLS Band Program this year:

1. Fill out the band sign up sheet from Mrs. Becks which was sent home with students this week.
2. Try out the instruments during WIN class and choose what fits YOU the best!
3. Meet Mrs. Becks and acquire an instrument, supplies, and method book at our Beginning Band Open House event on Monday, September 16th anytime from 4:30PM-7:00PM in the Middle School Commons.
